I lived in Valparaiso for five months and I felt truly welcomed to be part of the community of Universidad de Playa Ancha. Valparaiso is a unique city with many places one can explore to learn about their culture.
I’ll never forget the people I met in my time in Chile, the way they accepted me even though I am a foreigner and how they helped me to improve my Spanish. Besides Valparaiso, I had the good fortune to visit other places in Chile; including the forests of Valdivia and the Humbolt Penguin National Reserve in Serena.
I loved the career of Geography at UPLA. I had the opportunity to go on a field trip with my classmates and teachers for two days at Maipo River in the metropolitan region. I learned a lot about the landscape and the natural systems of Chile. It and was an experience I’ll never forget.
