Each year, the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción (UCSC) offers Spanish courses designed to meet the communicational needs of non-native speakers who wish to acquire the Spanish language, a necessary tool to effectively participate in a globalized world. Prospective students may be coming to Chile for business, work or to study and understand the language.
The main objective of these Spanish courses is to develop oral and written comprehension and production skills. In addition, they offer the chance for students to get to know Chilean and Latin American culture through different cultural expressions. Teachers organize debates, workshops and oral presentations, as well as interactive events with the UCSC and the general community.
